Love Flower
Belonging to the same family as the sunflower, Asteraceae/Composutae the Cosmos, native to the scrub and meadow-lands of Mexico, are herbaceous perennial plants or annual plants. It was first discovered by Spanish explorers in the 16th century, and because of it's fantastic even petal arrangement the flower got it's name "Cosmos", derived from the Greek word "Kosmos" meaning order, harmony, peace and tranquility of the universe. The Cosmos also associate with Love, romance and affection, and in the Greek mythology, the Cosmos are also related to the goddess of love Aphrodite. Therefore, also called "Love Flower". In most Asian countries, the flower symbolizes innocence and purity. In Mexico, the flowers are correlated to deities or spiritual beings. In Belgium and Austria, the black cosmos are used in funerals, as it represents death.
