Censorships on OTT platform’s: Handcuffing creative freedom   OTT (Over - the – top) platforms are streaming services that utilises the internet to deliver media content rather than the traditional cable or satellite Television. This digital distribution method allows users to access these contents on-demand from anywhere in the world as long as there is good internet connectivity through any device such as smartphones, laptops, smart television, etc. Prior to the emergence of traditional over-the-top (OTT) platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+, which provide a variety of media content through subscription models, there were Apple iTunes and Amazon Unbox, which allowed users to rent, buy, and download media material via the internet. As a result, after 2007 the OTT platforms as we know them today—Netflix and other services—were born.   Unlike traditional media, which is mostly governed by different regulatory or censorship bodies, OTT platforms h...

What is the first thing you do as soon as you wake up early in the morning? I can surely say almost 80% of us look for our phone, that’s been laying near us like a good, loyal partner. Just like a new-born looking for their mother with their eyes still closed.   Maybe it’s not the first thing you do, but if you are like most social media users, it’s a part of your daily routine. Human Beings are social creatures, so we need other’s companionship to thrive in life. And in today’s world, social media has made it very much easier.   We are so much attached to these media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, twitter, etc, viewing others so called perfect life, that we start comparing and hating the dull life we live. In this era of editing, people upload photos, videos making it look perfect. It makes people to look like everyone else is living a perfect life, with a perfect body, full of happy relationships and a successful career. As a result, it might make us feel like we a...

Momentos ❣️

A day filled with laughter, dance, song, foods and healthy company. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘¬ Had a wonderful day with these guys after such a long time. With so much going on for the last months, this was something that I definitely  craved for. A quality time with some of my favourite people.❤️  My friends had been planning for this small gathering for a long time, but we didn't have any location planned. So, just the day before the gathering, some of us went for location hunting. And we arrived at this beautiful place known as Sia Piiro. It's surrounded with beautiful, tall trees with a small stream running by.  The next day I started having second thoughts because I was feeling too lazy to get up from my bed, but a friend convinced me. I finally got up from my bed, brushed my teeth, packed my camera and some necessities and got ready.    Though we had to bunk a class to make this day happen, I'm glad I did. Many will disagree to bunking classes for having fun, but I'd say th...

Houses turned into ashes in a flash

(Photo Courtesy : - NewsZ) A fire broke out at Byonii Colony, Hapoli, Lower Subansiri District on the 30th of October, 2022.  I was at a friend's house with two of my mates, when I received a call from a friend. She told me that a fire broke out near our PG, it might be somewhere near the market. As soon as I heard that, I ran out of the room to see the sky turned orange, not so far away (as you can see in the first image). We were all horrified to see that, and so we left the house to see where it was. As we got nearer to the location, one of my friend started panicking. The reason why he started panicking was because the location was near his friend's house.  A crowd gathered near the location, some leaving the location, fearing ...

Preserving Something Beautiful

Image
O n the 27th of September as I was going back from college to my hostel with some of my friends, we stopped at the roadside as some of them wanted to visit the newly established skateboard center. They went to check out the place, but as I was not feeling so well, I decided to stay back. As I stood there waiting for them and admiring the cosmos, I thought to myself, "This would be the last time that I'll be able to witness this beautiful scenario. If only I could do something to make myself remember this beautiful time". As I was having this conversation with myself, a thought ran through my mind.  And........ this is what I came up with. This process is known as Herbarium.  Herbarium is a process where the plant species are collected then dried, pressed and then they are preserved on sheets. This process is usually used for scientific research for studying the plant species.  Since I don't have the proper equipment for it, I just used my notebook and some boo...

Hi. Hello. Konnichiwa. Namaste. Bonjour. Hola. Ciao to anyone, everyone visiting my profile. This is the first ever blog that I'm writing in my life but certainly not the last one. Since it is my first post it will be just a brief introduction about me.  My name is Margeret B. Lowang but people prefer to call me Market, Maragaret, Marg, Margu, Margarita, etc. I've been on this beautiful planet for over 22 years now. I belong to the Nocte Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. I'm currently pursuing my B.A in Mass Communication at Saint Claret College, Ziro. (I'am not good with words or expressing my feelings so i'm having a bit of trouble right now as to what to write moreπŸ‘€.) I've failed a lot of times in my life. Be it at exams, being a good daughter a good friend or a good person. But I've never failed at trying. No matter how many times I fail, make mistakes or fall down in my life I'll proudly stand up again to try and try until I succeed, as I believe "F...
